Are you a qualified and flexible Primary Teacher looking for part-time work in a supportive school environment?
Smile Education is proud to be working with a friendly, forward-thinking 2-form entry primary school in Rugeley to recruit a PPA Teacher to support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a part-time role with flexible working days to suit your availability.
This role is ideal for experienced teachers or ECTs who love teaching across different year groups and want to enjoy a varied and rewarding schedule without planning responsibilities.
Role Overview – PPA Teacher Responsibilities:
As the school’s PPA cover teacher, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning across all year groups by:
- Teaching a range of subjects from pre-prepared planning across KS1 and KS2
- Delivering high-quality lessons that engage and motivate pupils
- Providing consistency and calm classroom leadership in the absence of the regular class teacher
- Working across multiple classes and year groups throughout the week
- Supporting pupils of mixed ability, including those with SEND
- Building strong working relationships with teaching assistants and year group teams
- Providing informal feedback to staff and ensuring smooth handovers
- Maintaining excellent classroom and behaviour management
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Primary teaching experience in UK schools
- Comfortable teaching across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Able to adapt quickly to different classes and routines
- Confident in managing a classroom independently
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
