Job Title: SEN Teacher (Part-Time – Thursday & Friday)
Location: Primary School in Smethwick
Working Pattern: 2 days per week (Thursday & Friday)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our team for the Summer Term, working with a small group of pupils with Special Educational Needs in a primary school setting. The role involves teaching children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 who have complex needs, delivering highly personalised learning in a nurturing and supportive environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and enjoys working closely with pupils who require a tailored and flexible approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs and developmental stages.
  • Support children with complex needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and able to access learning.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to provide consistent and effective support.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to meet individual learning goals.
  • Create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN and complex needs, ideally within EYFS or KS1.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches and inclusive practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting every child to achieve their potential
