About the Role
Smile Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join the Key Stage 1 team at a welcoming and supportive local primary school in Codsall, WV8. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, building strong relationships with pupils, and ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver creative, inspiring lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring activities are differentiated to meet the needs of all learners
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development through nurturing relationships and high expectations
  • Assess and monitor progress using a variety of formative and summative methods, adapting teaching where necessary
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other staff to ensure all pupils are supported effectively
  • Establish positive partnerships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about progress and ways to support learning at home
  • Contribute to wider school life, attending meetings, training, and events as part of a collaborative teaching team
You’ll need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in KS1 (including delivering phonics, reading, writing, and maths)
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and early learning development
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
