We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) for an exciting opportunity at a school in Codsall.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher who can combine strong classroom practice with a personalised approach to supporting children's academic, social and emotional development. As a KS1 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons while adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils. You will help create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, supported and motivated to learn.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Differentiating learning activities to meet a range of abilities and additional needs.
- Supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Creating a calm, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils' emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
- Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs and other school professionals.
- Implementing individual support strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Promoting positive behaviour, social development and classroom engagement.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
You will ideally have:
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1 and Year 2.
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Confidence managing classroom behaviour and supporting emotional regulation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, nurturing and child-centred approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), as required for the position.
