Applicants must have prior experience in a school environment and be confident carrying out general site maintenance and basic building repairs.
Role Responsibilities – Site Manager
- Manage and maintain the school site, including buildings, grounds, and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-presented environment at all times.
- Take overall responsibility for opening, closing, and securing the premises, maintaining site safety throughout the school day.
- Oversee minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and plan, coordinate, and supervise contractors for larger or specialist works.
- Lead, supervise, and support cleaning and caretaking staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, performance, and compliance.
- Provide comprehensive site and operational support, including porterage and setup for school activities and events.
- Act as a key holder for the school, responding appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and out-of-hours issues.
- Previous experience working in a school setting
- Practical maintenance experience
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS clearance
