Smile Education is recruiting reliable and hardworking School Cleaners in Hyde, Greater Manchester.
We are looking for dedicated and experienced cleaners to work within a school environment, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety for pupils, teachers and staff.
Previous experience working in a school or educational setting would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities

Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas.
Cleaning and sanitising toilets, washrooms and other facilities.
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and maintaining floors.
Dusting and wiping desks, tables, chairs and other surfaces.
Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
Cleaning high-touch surfaces to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
Replenishing soap, toilet rolls and other cleaning supplies.
Using cleaning products and equipment safely in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
Following school safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene procedures.
Ensuring all areas are left clean, tidy and safe for pupils and staff.

Essential Requirements

Previous professional cleaning experience.
Experience working within a school or educational setting would be an advantage.
A suitable Enhanced DBS certificate, with the appropriate children's workforce checks where required.
Satisfactory references; school-based references are desirable.
The legal right to work in the UK.
Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic school environment.

Safeguarding and ComplianceSuccessful applicants will be required to comply with the school's safer recruitment and safeguarding procedures. Appropriate pre-employment checks will be completed, including identity verification, right-to-work checks, references and DBS checks, as applicable.
