Smile Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Walsall area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

The successful applicant will be responsible for cleaning classrooms, communal areas, toilets and other areas of the school, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining toilets and washroom facilities
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • Cleaning surfaces and high-touch areas
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment and products are used safely
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues
  • Following school cleaning and health and safety procedures
  • Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or similar setting
  • Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have a positive and professional attitude
  • Understand the importance of health and safety
  • Be comfortable working within a school environment
