Role Overview:
- Position: School Caretaker
- Location: Birmingham (B8 postcode)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your role is essential to ensuring the school runs smoothly and remains a safe, welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors. You’ll take pride in maintaining the site, carrying out repairs, and being a trusted key holder.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ General maintenance and upkeep of school buildings and grounds
✔ Opening and securing the school daily
✔ Handling minor repairs and coordinating external contractors for major works
✔ Supervising cleaning staff and ensuring high hygiene standards
✔ Supporting with porterage duties and school events
✔ Key holder responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Caretaker, ideally within a school setting
- Practical skills in general maintenance and repairs
- A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
- Two professional references
