Join Our Team as an Attendance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join our pastoral team at a co-educational secondary academy in Failsworth, Greater Manchester. This role is pivotal in monitoring and improving student attendance, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor Attendance: Track and record student attendance and punctuality using the school's database.
  • Identify Concerns: Highlight areas of concern and take appropriate action to address issues.
  • Engage with Families: Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss attendance matters and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Support Pastoral Team: Work closely with the pastoral team to support students facing attendance challenges.
  • Maintain Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of attendance and related communications.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment: A genuine interest in supporting students and contributing to their success.
