Premises Administrator

The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the school site, working closely with the Premises Manager, School Business Manager, and office team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out procedures in line with safeguarding and health & safety policies
- Maintain accurate records relating to site access, contractors, and compliance documentation
- Support the administration of health and safety checks, including fire logs, risk assessments, and statutory compliance records
- Update and maintain premises-related data on school systems (e.g. SIMS / ARBOR / BROMCOM, where applicable)
- Act as a point of contact for premises queries, liaising with staff, contractors, and external services
- Assist with room bookings, site scheduling, and facilities coordination
- Provide administrative support for maintenance, repairs, and asset management
- Present premises and compliance data to senior leaders when required
- Support emergency procedures and ensure safeguarding protocols are followed at all times
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a school or educational setting
- Have experience in an administrative or premises-based role
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be confident using school systems such as SIMS, CMIS, ARBOR or BROMCOM
- Have a good working knowledge of school health & safety and safeguarding procedures
- Be professional, proactive, and able to work independently
- Be able to form positive working relationships with staff, parents, and external contractors
