Part Time School Cleaner

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to start from September at a Primary School in the Kingstanding area.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join the site team on a part-time basis. This role is for 10 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 5:30pm, and is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and pupils.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard, maintaining hygiene throughout the premises and supporting the school in providing a safe and welcoming environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
  • Vacuuming, mopping and dusting designated areas
  • Cleaning toilets and replenishing hygiene supplies
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Ensuring all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly
  • Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
  • Working independently to complete daily cleaning schedules
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, commercial or public sector setting
  • Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
  • Take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
  • Have a good understanding of health and safety and the safe use of cleaning products
  • Be able to manage their workload effectively and work with minimal supervision
What to Expect from Applicants:
We are looking for applicants with previous cleaning experience. Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be dependable, hardworking and committed to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.
