We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Primary school in Kidderminster from September. This is a HLTA role supporting across all key stages and the school are looking for someone confident within the class with strong behaviour management.

The HLTA will lead learning activities, cover classes when required, deliver targeted interventions, and support the assessment and progress of pupils. They will be committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment, building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

This is an ideal role for a HLTA who is passionate for teaching across school and wants to work in a structured enviroment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Use strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils with high-level behaviour needs.
  • Lead engaging lessons to different key stages.
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation, communication and routine.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo, teachers and wider school team.
  • Contribute to personalised support plans and pupil observations.

  • HLTA status (or equivalent HLTA experience).
  • Experience working with behaviour needs in a school setting.
  • Confident, consistent behaviour management skills.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Ability to build trust and create a safe, structured learning environment.
