Focusing on Food Technology, as well as covering other technology & performing arts subjects, this Food Technology Technician role would see you responsible for preparing & maintaining equipment and teaching areas for practical classes!

 
As a Food Technology Technician, you will be helping students to obtain the most out of their learning experiences by assisting when required in practical lessons, as well as ensuring learning environments meet safety & health requirements. You will also be responsible for carrying out administrative and other tasks related to the smooth running of the departments.

Food Technology Technician – The role: 

• Support technology & performing arts subjects
• Maintain equipment and teaching areas
• Work with students across KS3 & KS4 lessons
• Ensure students are in a safe learning environment
• Health and safety compliance
• Responsible for stock management & online ordering

Food Technology Technician – Qualifications / experience required: 

• Food Technology qualification
• COSHH qualification is desirable
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Can work individually and as part of a team
• Level of IT competency  
• Up to date DBS check
