Deputy Catering Manager

Job description
Smile Education are working in partnership with a primary school based in Kidderminster, currently in need of a Deputy Catering Manager to join their lovely school. This role is to start on the 2nd of September on a long-term basis, potentially with the view of turning permanent, the hours will be 8:30am – 3pm.

The school provides 280 school lunches each day and are currently looking for somebody to manage, operate and deliver a high-quality catering service. 

Duties Include:
  • developing and implementing a range of creative and innovative ideas for catering division
  • good working knowledge of managing special diets to ensure our pupils with dietary needs can be provided for
  • motivated by a passion for quality coupled with the highest standards in food production, presentation and service
  • in-depth knowledge of practical cooking in a large-scale environment
  • budget management experience
  • supervisory management experience and be able to lead a team, you must be capable and motivated to mentor and develop your catering team.
