This role will be full-time, Monday – Friday, 08:00–16:00, starting as soon as possible
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support students with challenging behaviour, emotional needs, and barriers to learning
- Monitor behaviour trends and pastoral concerns across the school
- Identify students who require additional pastoral or behavioural support
- Work closely with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House, Tutors, SENCo, Inclusion team, and other relevant staff regarding students of concern
- Meet with students and parents/carers to support positive behaviour and engagement
- Deliver restorative approaches, mentoring, and targeted interventions to improve behaviour and wellbeing
- Liaise with external agencies where appropriate to support students’ pastoral needs
- Contribute to the school’s safeguarding and wellbeing provision
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in supporting students with behaviour and pastoral needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in mentoring or running pastoral interventions
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to remain calm, fair, and consistent when managing challenging behaviour
