Attendance Officer

Smile Education are recruiting for a school experienced Attendance Officer to start immediately for a school in Redditch.
 
This role will be full time Monday – Friday 08.00-16.00
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality
  • Ongoing monitoring of attendance for students
  • Identify students who require support with their attendance.
  • Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern.
  • Raise attendance issues with parents.
  • Meet with both students and parents to support them to improve attendance.
  • Meet with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis.
  • Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets.
 
What to expect from applicants?
 
We would like applicants to have prior experience working in an attendance-based role within education. Experience in using SIMS/CMIS/BROMCOM/ARBOR is essential.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
  • Experience in school attendance.
  • Have prior experience in using SIMS or CMIS/BROMCOM/ARBOR
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent levels of communication.
