The Role
Smile Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early year setting in Greater Manchester. This role involves supporting children aged 0–5 years, helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and develop.
You will support children’s learning through play-based activities, helping them develop social, emotional, and communication skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

What You’ll Do
  • Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities such as arts, storytelling, music, and sensory play
  • Supervise children during play, learning, and outdoor activities
  • Assist with daily routines including snack times, hygiene, and rest periods
  • Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment
What You’ll Need
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
  • Ability to support children within nursery staff ratios
  • A caring, patient, and energetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
