This role will be full-time, Monday – Friday, 08:00–16:00
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a designated year group, promoting student achievement, behaviour, and wellbeing
- Support and guide tutors within the year group to ensure consistent pastoral care and behaviour management
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and academic progress for students in the year group
- Identify students requiring additional support and implement targeted interventions
- Meet regularly with students and parents/carers to support engagement, behaviour, and progress
- Work closely with Senior Leadership Team, SENCo, Inclusion team, and other staff to address concerns and promote a positive school environment
- Act as a role model and advocate for the year group, promoting school values and standards
- Contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral provision across the school
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience guiding colleagues or teams
- Proven ability to support students’ behaviour, welfare, and academic achievement
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers, and staff
- Organised and proactive in monitoring progress and implementing interventions
- Ability to remain calm, consistent, and fair in challenging situations
