SENCO - Part time

Smile Leadership are currently seeking an experienced, non-class-based SENCO for a Sandwell based primary school. The role is offered on a part time basis, two days a week with an immediate start. If you have experience as a primary based SENCO and are available to travel to the Sandwell area, we would like to hear from you.

We are currently supporting an Ofsted good primary school during a period of change. The acting Headteacher has requested some support with the SENCO responsibilities she currently upholds for a short-term period. The position is offered on a part-time basis, two days per week and is expected to last at least one term. Senior leaders who do not hold the official SENCO qualification but have experience in a similar role will also be considered. The staff within this school offer a strong support network and your experience will be truly valued during your time in the post. The days worked can be flexible depending on your needs and the role is non-class based.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold the national SENCO qualification or
• Substantial experience as an acting SENCO (without acquiring the qualification)
• Ideally have knowledge of Sandwell LA procedures
• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils with SEN
• Primary school experience
