Smile Education are currently seeking to appoint an Associate Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for English to join a Secondary school based in Wolverhampton, WV10 8QD, West Midlands from February 2020. This notice has been originally posted on the 17th of January 2020.
We are currently supporting them in their search for the right candidate and all applicants will be short-listed in partnership with the school’s own recruitment policy. This position is offered on a full-time basis. There will be the potential to apply on a more permanent basis later into the academic year. The school are able to offer a competitive salary with potential leadership points for the right candidate.
For this role, the school wish to appoint an English specialist secondary teacher who has recently supported with either KS3, KS4 or whole school curriculum and could potentially be the subject lead. If you an English specialist who has held whole school responsibilities in other specialist areas you too will be considered for this post. You must be a motivated individual with the desire to progress up the leadership ladder. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase your leadership skills to the SLT and Governors within this trust and the post could open up many doors in relation to further promotion.
This school is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive of around 700 pupils, based just outside of Wolverhampton town centre. The school shares a large campus with the local Infant and Junior schools. Internally the site is spacious, bright and well resourced. Informal tours of the school will be arranged through Smile Education as a first step in the process.
