Smile Education are seeking dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to join our flexible and short-term staffing pool, supporting schools across the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust in schools in Wolverhampton.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, this can include 1:1 and general classroom support. While students are of Secondary age, their additional needs often mean they are working at lower Key Stage levels. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning and reach their full potentials.

About the Role:

-              Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant

-              Flexible, short-term roles (with opportunities to be extended)

-              Preparing learning resources and adapting materials to meet student needs

-              Providing 1:1 and general support as needed

-              Adapting quickly to new settings and challenges with a proactive and flexible attitude

-              Working as part of a dedicated and passionate team

-              Ensuring all pupils have full access to enrichment and learning

About You:

-              Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification

-              Experience of working with children with SEN, ideally in a secondary or special school setting

-              A compassionate, patient, adaptable approach

-              Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-              Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
