We are recruiting for a passionate and skilled KS2 SEND Teacher to join a primary school SEND Hub in Burton upon Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference for pupils with a range of special educational needs in a supportive and collaborative setting.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils within the KS2 SEND Hub.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Use a range of strategies to support pupils with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to ensure holistic support.
  • Track and assess progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies and a consistent approach.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and follow statutory SEND guidance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Proven SEND teaching experience in a primary setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Understanding of a range of SEND needs and the ability to adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Positive, resilient, and adaptable approach.
