A popular and well-respected secondary school in Stockport is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience, support student learning, and develop classroom management skills.
Cover Supervisor – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects at KS3 and KS4
- Supervise students in the absence of the class teacher
- Maintain classroom control and positive behaviour
- Offer support and guidance to ensure pupils stay on task
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school leadership
- Adapt to different subject areas and year groups as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A degree (any subject) – ideal for graduates considering teacher training
- Previous classroom, tutoring or youth work experience (preferred but not essential)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and motivate learning
- A calm, confident, and professional presence in the classroom
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
