Smile Education are currently recruiting for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Shrewsbury and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking for flexible work within education. The role would suit an aspiring teacher, experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant or anyone with previous experience supporting young people.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, deliver pre-prepared work and ensure students remain focused, engaged and on task.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared work.
• Maintaining a positive and purposeful learning environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Supporting students to remain focused and engaged.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff where required.

The School Are Looking For

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• A confident and professional classroom presence.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to work across different subjects and year groups.
• A flexible, reliable and adaptable approach.
