About the school

Villiers Primary School is a Wolverhampton Primary School which opened its doors to students in 1932. The school celebrates inclusion and diversity which is underpinned by their ethos of ‘work hard, be kind’ and the curriculum which aims to repare all children for life beyond primary school.

Villiers is a family - both caring and nurturing and supportive and challenging and our families are key to our success. Their doors are always open to families, external agencies, other professionals and community groups.

Fun Fact - Don Powell the drummer of rock group, Slade known for their Christmas hit ‘Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday’ attended the school as a child. 

We asked Lisa Woodward who is the SENCo at Villiers Primary School some questions about her experience working with Smile Education.

How would you describe the staff you have received from Smile Education?

All staff received from smile have been friendly and professional. There have never been any issues with children or their subject knowledge. 

What impact has Smile Education had on your school and its staff and students?

Having staff from Smile Education has enabled staff in school to attend CPD to further develop their skills. It's also ensured that the children have had a teacher present when staff have been off work due to covid. This has allowed our support staff to continue with interventions. 

What makes Smile Education stand out from other agencies, why us?

Emma our consultant is approachable and always tries to support however she can. She answers emails and texts out of hours which helps me with sorting cover issues for the following day. Any feedback is acted upon immediately. I have found all staff to be friendly. We would be lost without Smile Education!
