Why Should I Choose First Aid for Mental Health Training?

There are three reasons why you should choose our First Aid for Mental Health courses:

  • We only use qualified First Aid for Mental Health Instructors who are also teachers. We understand what schools and colleges require of their First Aid for Mental Health staff.
  • Our certificates are issued by FAA, an awarding body, are nationally accredited and are part of the RQF framework of qualifications.
  • Suneta and Steve have excellent knowledge and understanding of the signs and causes of mental ill-health. They combine their qualifications with their experience as teachers to enhance the First Aid for Mental Health courses they offer to teaching professionals.

Smile Education offers teachers the opportunity to gain a first aid for mental health qualification

Our mental health first aider courses are run by fully qualified Instructors in First Aid for Mental Health, Suneta Bagri of Cultivate Coaching and Steve Waters of Teach Well Alliance. Both trainers have first-hand experience of working in a school.

Suneta Bagri

Suneta is a former headteacher, with a career spanning over 20 years in primary schools as a teacher, SENDCo and senior leader. She is also founder of the Every Teacher Matters Network.

Suneta has also written a few guest blogs for our website that talk about how to deal with pressure and the power of a morning routine
