Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid training is run by a qualified paramedic from First Response and covers everything that you need to know should an emergency situation involving a child or baby arise.

The training is practical and offers all participants the opportunity to develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency paediatric first aid situations which could arise when looking after children in a nursery, school or home setting.
The training is suitable for anyone who works with children or babies in a professional setting and is compulsory for all newly qualified nursery staff. The course is an entry-level course which is suitable for everyone who may need to help an infant or child during the event of an emergency.
The training lasts for a full day and is a total of 6 hours. It typically runs from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Following successful completion of the training, you will then be a certified as Paediatric First Aider. The certification is valid for three years.
We offer the training course to those registered with Smile at the reduced cost of £35.50.
Once you have completed the 6 hours course, you are eligible to complete day 2 of the full paediatric first aid course. This must be completed within 6 weeks of the initial training.
