Smile Education, Northwest is now recruiting for a full-time, long-term Design and Technology Teacher for a secondary school based in Oldham.

What does the role involve?

Teach across all levels and abilities
Develop, maintain, and stimulate pupils’ curiosity, interest, and enjoyment in Design
Develop pupils’ familiarity, competence, and confidence within a safe workshop environment
Provide challenge for every pupil and encourage all pupils to achieve their potential in Design and
Plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive lessons to assigned classes.
Be prepared to innovate and devise imaginatively varied ways of teaching their subjects to inspire pupils.
Encourage pupils and show enthusiasm for their subject in the classroom.

What do you need?

A Design and Technology -related education degree
A valid QTS/PGCE
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
Able and willing to travel to the area
2 education-based references
A passion for teaching / supporting.
Good approach to behaviour management
A determined, hard-working attitude

Immediate start available.
The school can offer you security with the role as it is a long-term position for at least 1 academic year.
