Are you a passionate teacher looking for an opportunity to support the education of young people?  
 
Smile Education, Northwest is now recruiting for a full-time, long-term Design and Technology Teacher for a secondary school based in Oldham.
 
ECTS are also welcome!!!

What does the role involve?
  • Teach across all levels and abilities
  • Develop, maintain, and stimulate pupils’ curiosity, interest, and enjoyment in Design
  • Develop pupils’ familiarity, competence, and confidence within a safe workshop environment
  • Provide challenge for every pupil and encourage all pupils to achieve their potential in Design and
  • Plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive lessons to assigned classes.
  • Be prepared to innovate and devise imaginatively varied ways of teaching their subjects to inspire pupils.
  • Encourage pupils and show enthusiasm for their subject in the classroom.
 
What do you need?
  • A Design and Technology -related education degree
  • A valid QTS/PGCE
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
  • Able and willing to travel to the area
  • 2 education-based references
  • A passion for teaching / supporting.
  • Good approach to behaviour management
  • A determined, hard-working attitude
 
Immediate start available.
The school can offer you security with the role as it is a long-term position for at least 1 academic year.
